§ The Prime MinisterAs my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary told the House on 25 May 1999,Official Report, column 118, we welcome this initiative. We believe that the Charter should make the fundamental rights which already exist and are applicable at Union level more visible to the Union's citizens. The incoming Finnish Presidency has been given responsibility for taking this work forward and we look forward to working with them.
