To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many households in Wales would meet the eligibility criteria for the New Home Energy Efficiency Scheme if it were to be applied in Wales. [88153]

There is no information readily available on the number of households in Wales who would meet the eligibility criteria for the new HEES scheme if it were to be applied in Wales.

Following the transfer of functions, this issue will be a matter for the National Assembly. Consultation proposals for the new HEES in Wales will be published on Monday 28 June 1999.
