§ Mr. MacdonaldThe review was established earlier this year, in response to widespread concerns, to assess the impact of meat inspection costs on abattoirs and producers and to look at the efficiency of the Meat Hygiene Service. The work is currently underway, the Government hope to complete the review quickly and will announce its conclusions in due course.
