§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe Earl Attlee has introduced a Bill in another place which would give powers for the impounding of illegally operated heavy goods vehicles. A consultation exercise carried out by my Department last year showed that there was overwhelming support for an impounding scheme and the Government will therefore support this Bill.
