To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what estimate he has made, for the purposes of the draft EU directive on the taxation of interest payments, of the percentage of Eurobond holders who are individuals resident in the EU. [85834]

No reliable estimates exist, but it is known that a very large proportion of Eurobonds are held by institutional investors rather than individuals.
