§ Mr. Charles ClarkeThe DfEE's drug education good practice guidance, published in November last year, brings together the findings of Ofsted, and the experience of health professionals and others, and outlines already published research on the effectiveness of drug education in schools. In addition, the Department has published two booklets summarising a number of innovative drug education projects supported through the Department's Grants for Education Support and Training (GEST) programme in 1995–96 and 1996–97 respectively. They offer information on the findings of a range of different drug education projects set up by local education authorities during those two years.
