§ Lord GilbertWithin the authority delegated to him by the North Atlantic Council, SACEUR is responsible for the selection of targets and of the weapons systems which will be used to attack them. It is for nations whose forces are asked to carry out attacks to ensure that their attack is legitimate under international law. These arrangements have been in place throughout the current military action.
