§ Mr. Chris SmithI met Commissioner Susan Ness and Commissioner Michael Powell of the Federal Communications Commission, not William Kennard. The meeting took place on 17 September at the FCC offices in Washington and discussions centred around the programme for the introduction of digital television and the proposals for the switch off of the analogue system in the United States. Censorship and the V-chip were also discussed.
