Whether, in view of the 12 July decision of the Braintree District Council to retain the advertising hoardings alongside the A.12 trunk road near Witham, they will arrange for the Highways Agency to undertake fresh planting of trees and shrubs to restore the rural nature of the landscape of that section of the A.12. [HL3856]

Braintree District Council has informed the Highways Agency of its decision to retain the advertisement boards and has requested a meeting to discuss appropriate management of the existing landscape screening.
