HC Deb 27 July 1999 vol 336 cc373-4W
Mr. Maples

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list all overseas missions undertaken by personal representatives of the Prime Minister or himself since May 1997, where the representatives were neither Ministers nor officials. [90288]

Mr. Robin Cook

[holding answer 8 July 1999]: As has been the practice for previous Administrations, if it is helpful to the UK Government individuals may be asked to carry messages or undertake particular tasks on behalf of the Prime Minister or the Foreign Secretary when they travel overseas. We do not maintain a comprehensive record of such occasions.
