To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what was the tax revenue raised from tobacco products in 1998. [92240]

§ Dawn Primarolo
The amount of tax revenue (excise duty and VAT) raised from tobacco products in 1998 was £10,090 million.
Value Added Tax has been estimated from Office for National Statistics figures for household final consumption expenditure on tobacco.
