As Director of the Office for National Statistics (ONS), I have been asked to reply to your Parliamentary Question for an estimate of the level of net migration from each local authority area in Tyne and Wear and the counties of Durham and Northumberland.The estimates of net migration are not sufficiently reliable to be published as a separate component of the total population estimate for each local authority. It is not, therefore, our policy to release them.
