§ Dr. ReidOfficials from my Department regularly attended European Communities working groups when matters of importance to Scotland—in particular, fisheries, agriculture and structural funds issues—were being discussed. Occasionally, my Department was represented by officials from the United Kingdom's Permanent Representation to the European Union.
