§ Mr. Straw[holding answer 23 July 1999]: We have no record of having received the letter of 10 March to which the right hon. Member refers, but have since received a copy from his office.
"Kno Way" is an excellent example of a project involving the police, business and the voluntary sector in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour. It is to be particularly praised in addressing the issue of safety for vulnerable and elderly people.
An exhibition about the project in the Upper Waiting Hall of the House of Commons would have the full support of my Department. I will be writing to the right hon. Member formally to record my views.
