HC Deb 26 July 1999 vol 336 c7W
Mr. Green

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions how many complaints had been received by the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Complaints Commissioner by 30 June. [92947]

Ms Glenda Jackson

I understand that he received 53 complaints within his remit by 30 June.

Mr. Green

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what is the budget for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Complaints Commissioner for(a) 1999–2000 and (b) 2000–01. [92946]

Ms Glenda Jackson

The Complaints Commissioner's office is financed by members of the CTRL High Level Forum (HLF), which comprises the developers undertaking the CTRL and associated works, and the local authorities along the length of the Rail Link. The HLF set a budget for 1999–2000 of £262,868. The budget for 2000–01 will not be set until early next year.
