To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if Her Majesty's Government have ratified(a) the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and (b) the UN Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women on behalf of (1) Gibraltar, (2) Jersey, (3) Guernsey and (4) the Isle of Man; and if he will make a statement. Her Majesty's Government has not ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) or the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) on behalf of Gibraltar, Jersey or Guernsey. The UNCRC and CEDAW were extended to the Isle of Man on 7 September 1994 and 7 May 1986 respectively.
