§ Mr. George RobertsonI am confident that the Smart Procurement Initiative will produce improved value for money through faster, cheaper and better acquisition of defence capability. We are on track to achieve the savings 419W of £2 billion to which we are committed, and early indications are that substantial further savings are in prospect.
