§ Mr. HoonWe remain in close consultation with the Governments of the United States and Libya and the United Nations Secretary-General with a view to securing full Libyan compliance with the requirements of the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions. We welcome the progress to date, as set out in the Secretary-General's report to the UN Security Council last week. When the remaining requirements are met, the United Kingdom will support the lifting of UN sanctions against Libya, which are currently suspended.
