§ Mr. Doug HendersonFinancial support by Service personnel for their dependants is essentially a private matter for the individuals. However, Service personnel are subject to child support legislation and where an individual fails, or refuses, to fulfil this requirement, my Department will make deductions from pay to meet child maintenance assessments when requested to do so by the Child Support Agency.
