How many offenders respectively aged 10 to 13, 10 to 16 and 10 to 17 inclusive were found guilty of (a) murder and (b) manslaughter in each year from 1979 to 1998. [HL3418]

The information for England and Wales and Scotland is given in the table.

Data for Northern Ireland are available only front 1993 to 1997. In this period, for those known to be aged between 10 and 17 inclusive, only one person in 1997 was convicted of manslaughter and nobody was convicted of murder.
