HC Deb 12 July 1999 vol 335 cc16-7W
Mr. Bennett

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions (1) if a notice of date, time and place of the public inquiry into Waterside Park business park was published in local newspapers; [90546]

(2) if all those people who (a) objected to the proposal for the Waterside Park business park directly and (b) had their objections forwarded to him by the hon. Member for Denton and Reddish and the right hon. Member for Manchester, Gorton (Mr. Kaufman), were notified of the inquiry and the pre-inquiry hearing. [90547]

Mr. Raynsford

Details of the public inquiry were not published in the local press. However, in the interest of natural justice the inquiry has been adjourned to allow all interested parties additional time to prepare and make their views known on this proposal. I will write to my hon. Friend when I have more details.
