§ Mr. HoonConcern for human rights forms an essential part of our policy on the Peace Process. Our Missions in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem monitor the situation closely, including through contacts with NGOs. The UK and the EU regularly raise human rights issues with the Israeli authorities. We also support projects aimed at promoting human rights in Jerusalem through our Consulate General and the British Council. Finally we also raise concerns with the Palestinian Authority about human rights infringements in areas under their authority.
