§ Mr. MealeData are not available for exactly these sectors, but the latest published data from 1995 show that in the UK the percentage of emissions of HFC gas in use as a refrigerant were as follows
(a) 2.4 per cent. from manufacturing/industrial refrigeration(d)(i) 73 per cent. from supermarket refrigeration(d)(ii) 1.2 per cent. from domestic refrigeration.Of the remaining emissions 6 per cent. are from small commercial sources, 1.2 per cent. are from cold water chillers (which may be found in any sector), 16 per cent. are from vehicle air conditioning and 1.2 per cent. are from refrigerated lorries.
