§ The Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Lord Donoughue)Following a review of policy, the Government announced on 20 January this year that sales of raw cows' drinking milk would not be stopped but that tighter measures will be introduced to benefit those who choose to drink such milk. The decision reflects consumers' right to choose for themselves and that those who do choose to drink raw milk need to know that there are associated risks.
