To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer of the extra £40 billion allocated to health and education spending over the next three years in the 1999 Budget and the Comprehensive Spending Review, how much has been allocated to specific programmes; and if he will give a breakdown of how the allocated funds will be spent. The allocation of health and education spending to specific programmes is set out in the following Departmental Reports listing the Government's Expenditure Plans for 1999–2000 to 2001–02: the Department for Education and Employment and Office for Standards in Educations (Cm 4202); the Department of Health (Cm 4203); the Scottish Office (Cm 4215); the Welsh Office (Cm 4216) and Northern Ireland (Cm 4217).
