Biomedical Scientists are classed as Medical Laboratory Scientific Officers (MLSOs) for pay and grading purposes.

Pay Offers for 1999, now subject to consultation by Staff Side with their members, would give trainee MLSOs between 6.6% and 26% and 7.1% to all MLSO1s.
