§ Ms Jowell[holding answer 29 June 1999]: This Department has not commissioned research into the effect that pollen from genetically modified crops may have on 280W hayfever sufferers, nor has it received any. I have asked the Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants to take a preliminary look at this issue at the earliest opportunity.
