To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department which measures of local deprivation his Department and its agencies use in considering allocation of funds to local projects. [66719]

Mr. Boateng

The Home Office funds a number of local projects. In considering the allocation of funds, account is taken of whether the project meets the criteria for the individual scheme and the aims, objectives and targets in the Public Service Agreement for the Home Office set out in the White Paper "Public Services for the Future: Modernisation, Reform and Accountability" (cm 4181).
