To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many appeals have been heard against the opinion of the medical practitioner of the Fire Authority for Northern Ireland under Article 61 of the Firemen's Pension Scheme Order (Northern Ireland) 1973 in each of the last five years in respect of(a) full-time firemen and (b) retained firemen; and in each year how many of the appeals found in favour of the firemen in each of the two categories. This case was in respect of a retained firefighter and the appeal was decided in the appellant's favour.
