Mr. Swinney

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list for each project of over £10,000 the programmes funded by (i) Scotland Against Drugs and (ii) the Drugs Challenge Fund in 1997–98 indicating the programmes of over £10,000 which have been commissioned under these headings in financial years 1998–99 and 1999–2000; what is the total proposed budget for(a) SAD and (b) the Drugs Challenge Fund for each of the next three financial years; what are the running costs; and what percentage of total funds will be under the control of the Scottish Parliament. [holding answer 18 January 1999]: Funding of £1 million per annum has been made available to Scotland Against Drugs, including £0.5 million for the Drugs Challenge Fund for the years 1998–99 to 2000–01. Running costs for this financial year are estimated at £0.250 million. These funds will come under the control of the Scottish Parliament.

Information on programmes over £10,000 is set out in the tables.
