§ Mr. StrawFollowing the proposal for designation which I laid before Parliament on 12 November 1998, I have today designated Lord Taylor of Warwick and Ms Janet Lewis Jones under section 4(4) of the Video Recordings Act 1984. Lord Taylor and Janet Lewis Jones were appointed as Vice Presidents designate of the British Board of Film Classification on 12 November 1998, and I am designating them, in that capacity, to replace Monica Sims.
I have placed in the Library a copy of my Notice of Designation and the text of letters I am sending to Lord Taylor and Janet Lewis Jones confirming the designation.
