To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport if he will list the offices or agencies under his control which will be subject to L.2 of Head L in Schedule 5 of the Scotland Act 1998; how many people are currently employed in these offices; and what equal opportunities practices are adopted in these offices. [holding answer 15 December 1998]: All Non-Departmental Public Bodies falling under my Department are covered by the reserved matter of equal opportunities defined by Section L.2 of Head L of Schedule 5 of the Scotland Act 1998 and by the first exception to that. The following bodies may be designated as cross-border public authorities and therefore be subject also to the second exception:

All these bodies are responsible for ensuring that they meet the equal opportunities requirements set out in law.
