§ Ms Glenda JacksonIt is the responsibility of individual local planning authorities to promote the re-opening of railway lines and stations when considering their future public transport needs. However, in view of the importance of ensuring that sites which have potential for transport use are identified, the British Railways Board has carried out an audit of its remaining sites.
