HC Deb 11 January 1999 vol 323 cc93-4W
Mr. Prior

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office which civil servants are not allowed to use the Industrial Tribunal Service as a last means of settling disputes. [64338]

Mr. Kilfoyle

[holding answer 17 December 1998]: The only civil servants who do not have access to an Employment Tribunal are those employed as police constables in the Ministry of Defence Police. In common with other persons in police service, their rights to bring proceedings in an Employment Tribunal are restricted by Section 200 of the Employment Rights Act 1996.
