§ Mr. SpellarThe Atomic Weapons Establishment has two Local Liaison Committees, one covering the sites at Aldermaston and Burghfield, the other covering the site at Cardiff which is being decommissioned.
The Local Liaison Committee for the Atomic Weapons Establishment Aldermaston and Burghfield met on the following dates:
- 20 February 1997
- 19 June 1997
- 2 October 1997
- 12 February 1998
- 21 May 1998
- 4 June 1998
- 15 October 1998.
The Local Liaison Committee for AWE Cardiff met on the following dates:
- 19 June 1997
- 28 November 1997
- 26 June 1998
- 23 November 1998.
The next meeting of the AWE Aldermaston and Burghfield LLC is scheduled for 11 February 1999. It is expected that there will also be meetings in June and October 1999. The next meeting of the Cardiff LLC is scheduled for 17 May 1999 and it is expected that another one will be arranged for November.
The minutes of the two committees are circulated to all members in order that they can disseminate the information or place it on local council files as appropriate.
