§ Mr. Fatchett[holding answer 25 February 1999]The members of Panel 2000 are listed. There have been five plenary meetings of the Panel; members, or their representatives, were present as indicated. Panel members received no fee. Additional ideas were generated by sub-groups and input from others in the public and private sectors. The work of the Panel is reflected in a Consultation Document published on 10 September 1998 and placed in the Libraries of both Houses. Following the consultation period the Panel met on 17 December and confirmed the recommendations it had contained. These are now in the process of being implemented, with the contribution of expertise from individual Panel members.
