To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which Ministers from his Department have visited Caribbean countries since May 1997; and if he will list the Ministers and the countries they have visited. [72631]

The answer which the Prime Minister gave to the hon. Member for North Shropshire, (Mr. Paterson) on 3 February 1999,Official Report, columns 643–45, included a comprehensive list of all Government Ministers who have undertaken individual official visits to Latin America and independent Caribbean countries since 1 May 1997. No Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister has visited an independent country in the Caribbean region in an official capacity since that answer was given.

For ease of reference the following visits have taken place to independent Caribbean countries by Ministers of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office since May 1997.
