Whether they have any plans to legislate for mandatory insurance for firearms licence holders and shotgun certificate holders, and owners of low powered airguns and air pistols.[HL1166]
§ The Minister of State, Home Office (Lord Williams of Mostyn)The Government believe it is for individual shooters to take out any insurance they consider necessary to cover actions for which they may become liable. We have no plans at present to introduce legislation to make this compulsory.
