§ Mr. Ian McCartneyBusinesses of all sizes will benefit from the measures in the Bill. Decent minimum standards protect responsible employers from being undercut by less responsible employers. The culture of partnership we are encouraging should raise employee commitment and thus promote greater staff retention, reduced absenteeism and greater productivity.
