Mr. Jon Owen JonesInformation on a comparable basis is available only for the last three years and is given in the following table. Prior to this the term "manager" was only applied to persons in the administrative and clerical grades. The whole-time equivalent number of managers in this group was 1,292 in 1994 and 1,350 in 1995.
Mr. Jon Owen JonesInformation on hospital doctors is collected by the NHS Trust as at 30 September each year. At 30 September 1997, the latest date for which information is available, there were 180 hospital doctors employed in the Bridgend and District NHS Trust which related to a whole-time equivalent of 157.5.
Following the transfer of functions, this issue will be a matter for the National Assembly.
