§ Mr. SpellarThe UK Chamber of Shipping contributed to the Strategic Defence Review as part of the Review's public consultation process. Copies of submission made to the Review have been placed in the Parliamentary and selected reference libraries. As my hon. Friend is aware, the Ministry of Defence enjoys a close and productive relationship with the Chamber on defence issues, primarily through the auspices of the Shipping Defence Advisory Committee and its various working groups and sponsored discussions.
