§ Mr. BayleyDoctors appointed to special medical boards for respiratory diseases must hold full registration with the General Medical Council. They must have not less than five years' post-registration experience in a clinical field relevant to disability assessment, and have successfully completed an appropriate training course in disability analysis, assessment of disablement arising from industrial injuries and prescribed industrial diseases, and in interpretation of chest x-rays and relevant pulmonary function tests.
