§ Mr. GalbraithWhile no specific funds were provided for nurses' pay in the Comprehensive Spending Review, the outcome provided sufficient funds to meet the full costs of the nurses pay award. The cost of the actual increase approved for nurses' pay is estimated to be £49 million.
From 1 July 1999, this will be a matter for the Scottish Parliament.
