HC Deb 15 February 1999 vol 325 c475W
Mr. Robathan

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many people have been forced by intimidation to leave their homes in Northern Ireland since 1 May 1998; and if she will make a statement. [63172]

Mr. Ingram

The Northern Ireland Housing Executive holds responsibility for housing those people who claim to be homeless as a result of intimidation, and assesses entitlement to housing under the homelessness legislation. Its Chief Executive has advised me that, from 1 May 1998 to 31 December 1998, a total of 1,358 applicants have been awarded A I (I) priority status by the Housing Executive as a result of intimidation.
