To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many claims have been received from former mineworkers claiming for chronic bronchitis and emphysema since(a) 13 September 1993 and (b) April 1997; and how many awards were made over the period broken down by (i) age, (ii) degree of disability and (iii) coalfield area.
