§ Ms HodgeThe following table shows the proposed targets for 1999–2000 for additional, free early education places for three-year-olds in all sectors which have been set for the 50 Local Education Authority areas with greatest social need. Some £40 million is available to support these places; additional funding will be distributed across all authorities in 2000–01.
