§ Mr. HoonThe Department received correspondence from Mediation UK in April 1998 and January 1999 requesting funding as well as correspondence from various MPs and community mediation schemes. We are currently considering the role that alternative dispute resolution, including mediation, may play in the civil justice system. It would be inappropriate to take decisions on the funding of any particular mediation organisation until policy has been formulated.
