§ Mr. RookerThe Date Based Export Scheme requires that eligible animals are slaughtered, and their meat and products handled subsequent to slaughter, in plants which handle only export eligible cattle and beef, or other species and their meat. Abattoirs will be able to slaughter pigs or sheep but will not be able to slaughter cattle which are not eligible for export.
