To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what meetings have taken place or are scheduled to take place between Treasury Ministers and representatives of the(a) alcohol and (b) tobacco industries in advance of his Budget statement. [69530]

I met representatives of the alcohol industry (Brewers and Licensed Retailers Association, The Wine and Spirit Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, The National Association of Cider Makers, The Scotch Whisky Association and The Gin and Vodka Association of Great Britain) on 3 and 4 February.

Meetings with representatives of the tobacco industry will take place shortly.
