§ Mr. MacdonaldA fixed site camera of the type used on trunk roads in Scotland costs around £52,000, including installation. Police forces administer the operation of these cameras and information on running costs is not held centrally.
From 1 July 1999, this will be a matter for the Scottish Parliament.
